First "open source" spyware..except its not

Just a quick heads up - Nzeka Gilbert's gone and posted a rather opportunistic thing...namely, the "first piece of open source spyware". Great - except it's not. How many Trojans and Viruses are out in the wild whose code is freely available for people to tinker with? Lots.

(Argobot springs to mind).

And if you look at the code itself, it mainly looks like a spamming tool anyway - not spyware at all. The whole thing smacks of someone who wants a better job and fast, so thought he'd stir up some interest with "open source spyware". Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work like that and, after a few days of brief interest, everyone got bored and went back to the real thing.

If you're interested, the code can be found here.
