Pulse, the finger is on it...

Nice find over at Sunbelt Software. A while back - June 9th to be accurate - I covered this little number and suggested it wouldn't be too long before the "fake" SP2 information bar would be used as part of a screwball install technique. Well, check this out. You guessed it - screwball install technique. With fake details, fake information bars and the most disgraceful use of a "page cannot be displayed" page I have seen in a long time (be sure and examine the screenshot on the Sunbelt site closely and you'll see what I mean).

Now, who wants to place bets on how long it'll be before a bona-fide Malware install uses the same information bar trick?
