Weapon of choice
Wouldn't you know it if I was on Internet Holy business in America recently - in fact, just these past few days. And inbetween trying to convince those Homeland Security guys that I wasn't a threat to national security and buying Ding-Dongs (don't ask) in superstores, I paid a visit to Wayne Porter (of XBlock / Revenews / Facetime fame) to discuss the latest hot areas of Malware installs and the future of security. We also talked about whether Mountain Dew beats Dr Pepper, but that's another story.
For now, console yourself with this snippet of info - after a great deal of (super-secret) debate on the state of the Adware / Spyware industry in general (inbetween watching Wayne conversing / social engineering / everything else with local shopkeepers), he gave me the faintest of inklings into what FaceTime was up to - and I have to say, my socks were well and truly blown off. A fundementally different approach to the Spyware battle is in the pipeline, and I admit to getting pretty excited about what I saw. I could tell you what it was, but then I'd have to kill you and that would benefit nobody!
Suffice to say, some pretty interesting things will emerge in the near future. The clock is ticking...
