IM Hacker Gang...their secrets exposed

Yep, in a nifty series of writeups over at Spywareguide.com, I'll be examining in detail the methods employed by one of the groups behind those IM Adware installers, beloved by - er - nobody at all, actually. So much material was recovered (including custom built trojans, Macgyver-style reworkings of old techniques and much more besides) that I decided to examine each aspect of what these guys put together.

The first piece traces the development of their installer thought-process, from crude popups to sophisticated, PC-crunching multi-component installs. Part one, for your viewing pleasure!

Of course, there is more to come - including an explanation of exactly how the IM virus technique works, a look at their Trojan-toolkit and possibly a few other nifty things too. And if you'd like to see the Prelude to all of this, click here.
