The amazing disappearing act
Not so long ago I stated my disgust at 180 Solutions' software being pushed on a website that hawks completely unfunny videos pushing so-called "racist humour".
They responded in kind by attempting to marginalise everyone's favourite ghost by painting me as a "zealot". Or was it a fanatic? Oh well, who cares - considering one of the best arguments for the guy behind the site was that he had a Wikipedia-stub. Oh wow!
Well, it's interesting to note that a few weeks after the (rather one sided debate) took place...what, still no comments allowed on your blog?...The Amazing Racist has had something of a revamp.
From checking the Whois data, it looks like the site still hasn't been sold. However, when clicking into the videos, whereas previously you used to get a Zango prompt, now, you get nothing.
The 180 Solutions software that used to install has gone west.
I find this rather intriguing - where has it gone to, and why? If the site has indeed been snapped up by a new owner, considering one of the major (well, the only) plus points of the site was the ability to generate money from the Zango software, they've kind of shot themselves in the foot if they removed the installs. Especially as the poorly written text asking you to "click yes to everything" is still on there.
If 180 has removed the software, after the rather spirited song and dance they made in defence of these wonderful pieces of thought-provoking "art" (lollers)...
....doesn't that make all the "Zealot" tub-thumping sound a little hollow?
