From the "Ironic humour" department...
Out of interest, I was checking out Vitalsecurity.org via Site Advisor, and happened to see a rather strange comment at the bottom of the page:
This site links to a bad download. The program is YabBrowser. I am not sure if this has anything to do with vial Security. The browser has a mind of it's own and sends users to child pr0n sites. I have this information on good authority. I myself have not used the software or been to the web page (I am not game enough!!). The mention of this software was made on Geek News Central Podcast (Todd Cochrane's Podcast). The Show is number 164. This is a serious problem and the rating of this site needs to be revised.
Word of warning, Hotshot - might want to check back with your "good authority".
So bizarre, I don't even know where to begin - however, the stupid Auto email thing hasn't come back to me yet so I can't complain bitterly about my site being blackballed by some guy who seems to have contributed ONLY ONE review to Site Advisor. Despite him not having "used the software", "looked into it" or indeed seemingly read any of the writeups. Perhaps the confusion stemmed from Geeknewspodcast linking to my site with the inexplicable word "Caution" next to it, instead of "Caution: badass".
Until my ability to complain like a whiny girl on Site Advisor kicks in, feel free to defend my honour and set that sucker straight.
Meanwhile, if anybody wants me I'll be outback....shutting down the kinds of scams I'm being accused of helping out(!)
/ Edit - I just contacted the guy who made the initial post on Site Advisor, and he's fired them an Email about his comment. Nice guy, too.
