419 Scammers and leet hax0rs get cosy

Just because it's the weekend doesn't mean you won't see any updates on a security Blog, baby!

I can't get enough of IRC lately - there's some real inventive stuff out there at the moment. With that in mind, check out this great example of a Nigerian 419 Scammer trying to muscle in the Phishing (as in, online fake bank webpage Phishing) / Hacking racket. It's a chat between a security dude called Spage and, er, "bcky".

Spadge should have got that guy to pose in pictures with fish on his head and silly signs and stuff. However, apart from this one glitch, a fine old time was had by all. Could this be the new wave of Phish attacks? 419 Scammers and leet hax0rs combining their powers, Captain Planet-fashion, to take over the Interweb and make us all cry?

Well, probably not because the one key trait of 95% of 419 Scammers is this:

They're incredibly stupid.

Sure, they'll shoot you with guns. But only if you're daft enough to get on a plane and go over there. In which case, you also need to jump in the stupid boat. And then, er, get shot.

Anyway, enough of that. Go look at the pictures of guys with fish on their heads.
