BBC interviews wrong man in music download screwup

It's no secret that I like to go offtopic sometimes. This Linday Lohan thing is a pretty good example of that. However, I'm about to go way off into left field so I hope you're ready...

...and the offtopic ramble for today is, did anyone see the below news interview on News 24? God, it was awesome. Some guy was supposed to be interviewed on the subject of the Beatles Vs Apple Computers case - unfortunately for all concerned, the interview guy's taxi driver (at least, this morning's papers claim he was a taxi driver) was handed a microphone and sat down in the studio, before giving one of the most bizarre interviews I've ever heard:

Interviewer: Guy Kewney is editor of the technology website Newswireless..

At this point, the dude pulls a WTF face, and looks like a doe about to headbutt a 16-wheel truck at 80 MPH..

Interviewer: Hello, good morning to you.

Random dude: Good morning.

Interviewer: Were you surprised by this verdict today?

Random dude: I am very surprised to see. This verdict to come on me because I was not expecting that. When I came they told me something else and I am coming. So a big surprise anyway.

Interviewer: A big surprise, yeah, yes. (Roughly translated - Okay, who the Hell is this guy?)

Random dude: Exactly.

Interviewer: With regards to the costs involved do you think now more people will be downloading online?

Random dude: Actually, if you can walk everywhere you are going to see a lot of people downloading the internet, and the website and everything they want. But I think it's much better for development, and to inform people what they want, and to get the easy way and so faster if they're looking for.

Interviewer: It does seem the way the music industry is progressing now that people want to go onto the website and download music. (Roughly translated - Say anything, just don't make eye contact..)

Random dude: Exactly. You can go everywhere on the cyber cafe and you can take, you can go easy. It's going to be an easy way for everyone to get something on the internet.

Interviewer: Thank you. Thanks very much indeed.

Yes...thanks for making paying the licence fee this year worthwhile.

It wasn't quite as spectacular as Kayne West temporarily going insane on live TV, but it gave me a laugh all the same. I wish all interviews on TV could be like this. The slow, dawning look of realisation on the presenter's face halfway through that she might actually be interviewing a 250-pound serial killer (as opposed to some nerdy MP3 guy) was priceless.

If you didn't see it, don't worry. My sister has a tape of it (don't ask) and I'm sure it'll be done to death on endless TV-clip compilation shows from now till the end of time...

/ Edit - The Daily Mail have a clip here. Oh, happy day.
