Using Winamp to install Zango

I found this particularly interesting - some guy made a Winamp Skin that, when installed, tries to install Zango when the auto-update feature kicks in.

The curious thing here is that at least one person alleges that the Zango Adware installed without permission:

Having declined the offer to install the "setup" it proceeded anyhow to install itself, dumping a add server icon into my system tray and installing an IE toolbar, both against my wishes.


...and after some more complaints, the guy pulled the skin completely. You can see his somewhat confused response
here. I'd love to know the full story behind this one - sadly, I don't think we ever will as Google cache only has a copy of the "clean" skin.

Of course, if anyone still has a copy of the original skin, feel free to send it my way...
