Paris fills Usenet full of Zango

Assuming your daily tasks don't include looking upon the face of God, this will be the coolest thing you see all day.

An interesting distribution source of Zango has been brought to my attention, courtesy of a colleague of mine called Dave. I'd tell you his full name, but then I'd have to kill you. Check it out - distribution of Zango DRM videos (that want you to install Zango Adware in return for some typically useless videoclip) across Usenet.

Awesome!

Of course, the "awesome" factor went down a few hundred notches by virtue of the fact that all the clips I saw absolutely sucked.

One features Christina Aguilera, er, unzipping her top for seven seconds. And that's it.

Seven seconds.

The thing that makes me laugh is that (because the clip is so short), you actually see the entire contents by simply watching the rotating images on the install screen. See XXXTina's Superman impresssion in the screenshot above? That's as good as it gets, kids!

Effectively, this Aguilera video is completely, utterly worthless and any sort of notion that installing the Adware here in return for "seeing the goodies" is a decent value proposition is laughable.

Another was a short clip of Keira Knightley lapdancing (ha! it's not even her real butt! Suckers!), an eight second clip of some bird at a photoshoot and, well, that's about it really. I can't understand how eight second clips ripped from VH1 are a good deal in return for an Adware program, but this Paris dude must be making a fair wodge of cash.

Paris dude?

Ah, I hear you cry, that'll be the Paris of the title! Come on, admit it, you thought I was talking about the Hilton chick or French guys in berets or something.

The guy uploading these things uses the word "Paris" in his email address so it's not particularly hard to track this stuff. Look upon my mighty screenshot and despair, oh Internet! Look upon it and click to enlarge, lest you be smited with thunderous bolts of blog-based waffle!

Anyway, there you have it.

I wouldn't mind so much if the guy putting this stuff out there just kept it to one particular newsgroup section thing. But no - he goes and spams it all across completely unrelated porno categories too! You know how scary an angry Usenet porn nerd gets when you start mixing up topics and sticking in files that belong in some other category?

Oh man. Someone's in for a kicking if they get their hands on him. Even I wouldn't tackle those guys :(
