Madrid: An evening with Paperghost

Take one audience in Madrid, hungry for the latest happenings in the Malware world. Add the greatest hero in English history into the mix. Blend in some fine spices from an incredibly expensive restaurant, and the scene is set for a fine piece of entertainment.

But who did I take with me - Bruce Schneier? Joanna Rutkowska? Kevin Mitnick?

No man, I took a freaking PIRATE. Why? Because PIRATES ARE AWESOME. The smaller issues of Malware destroying lives and the eternal mysteries of creation fall into place with you realise this simple truth.

Look! he has a pirate gun!!!

Anyway, a fine old time was had by all as we discussed the frankly horrible possibility of previously warring hacker groups from different nations joining forces, IPv6, Windows Vistas' vaguely alarming lack of social engineering defences and, well, pirates.

This isn't the last time I'll be wandering over to Madrid, either. After RSA is done and dusted, there's some big event going down in March and I'll hopefully be taking the stage to talk about security, rogue browsers and whether Sinbad could kick Blackbeards' ass.

More as I get it, but for now, you can tune in to my Spain-based antics over at Paperghost.com where there'll be slightly less pictures of pirates, and slightly more pictures of people blowing trombones, praise of vending machines and (of course) me complaining about things bitterly.

Oh yes, if the above link doesn't work for you (sometimes certain areas can't resolve the domain mapping), try this.
