How to break a PC in less than 10 minutes

Sorry for the lack of posts, I'm currently fiddling with what I humbly consider to be what is quite possibly the worst hijack I have ever come across and it's taking some time to examine.

A good 30MB+ of individual files are downloaded onto the PC, and it just kills it. Kills it right in the face. Kills it right in the face with a brick and then comes back with a breeze block to finish the job. Kills it so bad all the files have to be sucked off a demolished box (after about an hour of gimping around) and tested one by one, for fear of setting off a PC-based apocalypse. Kills it so bad that it the PC you're running VMWare on frequently has to reboot due to the strain placed on the machine. Kills it so bad that I've had to reinstall VMWare twice because it caused completely unfixable errors in the program.

I think you get the idea.

When we actually have a better idea of what's going on, you'll get your full-on blood and guts writeup. I'll probably have to remove all the swearwords and angry ranting though...
