GTA Virus: It's Tough in the Hood, Yo
Wow, Jack Thompson is right - videogames do incite feelings of violence, because after seeing this latest hijack I want to hunt down the creator and PUNCH HIM THROUGH A WALL. Labels: GTA Virus
The past few days, we've been looking at a vaguely wide ranging distribution network of movie clips - typically uploaded onto YouTube (though they pop up on forums and spam blogs, too) - that promise all sorts of awesome, violent videogame fun.
Oh wait, did I saw "awesome"?
I meant, awesome if you happen to be BLIND (or accidentally wedged in the 80s, in which case you need more jiggawatts. Also, stop reading this because you're creating some sort of weird time paradox).
These "games" - most of which seem to be pimped as Grand Theft Auto Mods (more like X-Treme Downgrades from the looks of them) are presented as trailers to entice you to go download a random EXE from some other site, elsewhere.
I can't stress the following enough - THE MOVIES ON YOUTUBE ARE HARMLESS TO PLAY AND WATCH. Problems will only arise if you decide to follow a link to the external site, or if your eyeballs burst as a result of how ugly the games are.
If you download and run one of the EXEs, then it's
...and your PC is screwed, by manner of borking it so it constantly shuts down after booting it up.
As a bonus prize, you will however see this for a few wonderful moments:
....whoops.
