An Evening of Destruction

I can't quite remember where I came across the collection of sites at the heart of the next set of writeups. I think I actually followed one guy from Helgi B's forum - remember him? - and watched as he leapfrogged from site to (endlessly-shutdown) site, before arriving at the Terminal for "Scumbag Island" departures.

See, anyone looking at these leet hax sites for any length of time will quickly realise it's not just one site, sitting there on it's own. It's a whole little microcosm of ratbags and idiots, spread across one or two main sites with a whole collection of hangers on and bottom feeders - many of whom also decide to throw up some quick and nasty leet hax sites of their own.

Invariably, it's always the main forum that takes the longest to hose.

Of course, it's awash with hypocrisy and the kind of things that make blood vessels explode in my eyeballs. Case in point, the stunningly outrageous ramble by the owner of the main site in question:

"As hackers, we don't want to be seen to be perpetuating or supporting the myths and lies surrounding the hacker community as spread by the popular media and ill informed members of officialdom who would rather we didn't exist."

Failed. Also,

"Hacking is about learning about and using computers and other devices in ways they were not necessarily intended to be used. Hacking is not about breaking into other peoples' computers or networks, defacing websites, spreading viruses and worms or otherwise making a nuisance of yourself. If you do any of these things then you are a criminal and will not find a warm welcome here."

Here's a guy bragging about the bank account he just hacked and everyone seems pretty friendly to me (that's a moderator who we'll be seeing more of in later writeups). Here's the owner hacking computers for giggles. Hell, here he is demonstrating how popular his hacks are.

Failed again.

I could go on, but you've already
seen a ton of related takedowns and articles involving this group. Remember Ribut and her ring of Phishy friends? That was from here. The HTBomber Botnet? Same again. In fact, so was the Myspace Speed Demon, courtesy of our pal The Punisher.

There's hacks, cracks, warez,
defaced websites - all the usual junk. Oh, and a bunch of hijacked Myspace pages too:

Put simply, these guys have been running riot all over the place and nobody has done a thing about it for the longest possible time. Their actions have bled into phishing groups, Myspace Trolls, website defacement teams, data theft trading and financial loss.

That changes tonight.
